Speech and Debate Program
Course Description: Students will learn the essential aspects of public
speaking that will better train them for the future. In addition, they will gain an understanding of the structure for argumentation and how it can be applied to real-life scenarios. Classes will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 3 to 4 pm. Below is a tentative schedule of what the summer program will teach.
Week 1: Volume and Articulation
Week 2: Confidence and Walking
Week 3: Use of Gestures in Skits
Week 4: Construction of Argumentation
Week 5: Writing speeches and Skits
Week 6: Present a speech using what we learned!
